Stevia is a plant native to South America, whose leaves contain several types of glycosides. It is traditionally used in many cultures as a sweetener, is low in calories and does not affect blood sugar. Our stevia tablets are however not recommended for diabetic diets due to their fat content. Stevia is similar to maltitol, an ingredient we use in our low-sugar pralines. If you have certain health problems, we advise you to consult your doctor or dietician before consuming Leonidas stevia tablets.
